Hydrophobically modified alkali swellable thickener (HASE) for waterborne systems

RHEOLATE 185 rheological additive is a cost effective alkali soluble associative thickener that was specially designed to replace cellulosic thickeners. It can be used in water based coatings either as a primary or as a co-thickener. It offers better applied hide, less spattering, resistance to mud-cracking in thick coatings typically seen in high build coatings while maintaining the in-can feel of paint based on cellulosic thickener.

RHEOLATE 185 is supplied as low viscosity liquid, it provides ease of addition and incorporation in paint. Its resistance to microbial spoilage enhances long term paint stability without loss in viscosity as seen in cellulosic based paint.
